Cabernet Franc, present prevalently in this wine, perfectly represents the minerality of our territory, sweetened by the notes of Merlot and the vivacity of Sangiovese.

The aging in large oak barrels and in 2nd passage barriques give to this Tuscan wine an intense ruby ​​red color and fruity aroma, with cinnamon and tobacco notes.

Strong and vigorous wine, perfect for meats   (it’s excellent with the Tuscan “Fiorentina!)”, and  also for meats with  sauces, pasta first courses and semi-mature cheeses.

PRODUCTION AREA:   BUCINE, (Arezzo)

HEIGHT:   From 250 to 300 metres

EXPOSURE:   South-South East and South West

SOIL:   Middle mixture

GRAPE BLEND:   Merlot, Cabernet Franc, Sangiovese

GRAPE HARVEST:   From the end of September to the end of October

VINIFICATION:   In steel tanks. The temperature is controlled by computer.

WOOD AGING:   In 1st and 2nd use barriques and large French oak barrels for 12 months.

BOTTLE AGING:  3 months at least

TOTAL ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 13.50 %

TEMPERATURE SERVICE:   18° – 19° C

GASTRONOMY COUPLING: First courses with game sauce, red and white meat.

 

ORGANOLEPTIC TRAITS:

COLOUR:   Intense rubin red with elegant purple traits

SMELL:   Red currant which immediately gives way to tobacco and cinnamon flowers. It has the mineral pureness of Cabernet Franc, the fragrance of Merlot and the vivacity of Sangiovese.

TASTING:  Elegant with medium-density sweet tannin balanced to acidity. Sweet and persistent fruity aftertaste.
