Resulting from a blend of Merlot and Cabernet Souvignon, it’s a dark ruby ​​red wine with violet notes.

Improved in oak barriques for 24 months and aged in bottles for at least 6, this wine hasa complex and elegant, fruity and sweet spicy scent.

On the palate it is soft, with a persistent aftertaste. Its charm is precisely in the calibrated fusion of its components. A perfect wine for meat such as steaks and pork  and forcheese.

PRODUCTION AREA:   BUCINE (Arezzo), ITALY

HEIGHT:  From 250 to300 metres

EXPOSURE:   South-South East  and South West

SOIL:   Middle mixture

GRAPE BLEND:  80% Merlot, 20%  Cabernet Sauvignon

GRAPE HARVEST: End of september– first decade of October

VINIFICATION: In steel tanks. The temperature is controlled by computer

WOOD AGING: In 2.25 Hl barriques and/or 40 Hl barrels for 16 months

BOTTLE AGING:  6 months at least

TOTAL ALCOHOL PERCENTAGE: 14%

TEMPERATURE SERVICE: 18° – 19° C

GASTRONOMY COUPLING: All red meats and matured cheeses

 

ORGANOLEPTIC TRAITS:

COLOUR:   Inky ruby red with purple notes.

SMELL:   Elegant, complex, intense, fruity with a finish of sweet spice.

TASTING:  Soft, wide and sweet. Tannin is in balance with the sweetness wine. Rich in fruity and spicy sensations at the end of the mouth. Smoky notes lightened by sweet coffee, cardamom and blackberry. Long lasting, persistent.
